Heart Of A Lion - More fantasy based coloring pages

Heart of a Lion
Back before the turn of the century (holy crap does that make me feel old) I did quite a bit more fantasy illustration than comics or sci-fi. I used to travel from art fairs to medieval fairs all around the PNW and sell art and prints. This particular image was, by far, my most popular. It's now available at my Etsy shop as a digital downloadable coloring page for only $1. Print it as many times as you want and color it in as many different ways as your imagination allows. While your there check out the other coloring pages and my coloring book too!
The stippling took almost 40 hours to complete.

New Coloring Pages

I just uploaded a couple of coloring pages to my Etsy store. One based on my webcomic, An Alien Adventure, and an older fantasy dragon that I had originally created for a set of limited edition prints. They are digital downloads and can be printed and colored as many times as you want. https://www.etsy.com/shop/NotOfThisEarthComic

Sea Dragon

Here is a little different dragon than you might be used to seeing. This one has discovered an underwater city.

This was drawn by hand and painted in Photoshop 3.0 on my trusty old Mac G3 and with a Wacom Art Z II. Because my main body of work was as a colorist for comics this is still a very new way for me to work. Using multiple layers is a shift in my work flow that is exciting but takes a little to get used to.

Gargoyle

Gargoyle
Awakened by the sounds that came from the bottom of the canyon that was over half a mile away. It stretched its leathery wings and sniffed the air rising up the cliff side to try and catch the scent of what had invaded its territory this time. Nightfall had not come yet to the mountainous area so the eyes that were accustomed to seeing in complete darkness had trouble locating the small band of humans passing by.

Humans. The scent said humans. They could be dangerous to even one as powerful as this one was. Humans sometimes carried weapons that could inflict serious damage so it was best to wait until nightfall to make its attack. When it had the advantage.

Red Dragon

Ok, so the other day I realized that I had not done a red dragon. Wanting to quickly remedy this I did the dragon you see here. It was inspired by a dragon from Ceatures From El. Originally a pencil drawing and then scanned into Photoshop where I added the color. Prints are available at my Etsy store for the paltry sum of only $6.00 plus $2.00 shipping.
